Porcupine Coconut

I had to beg Chris for weeks to join me in creating a blog. He kept saying “no way, you’re like King Midas, except everything you touch turns into crap.” After hours and hours of begging and a phone call between our moms, he agreed to team up with me. Because Chris is doing something nice for me, I decided to do something nice for him. Over the weekend, I treated him to an elegant 3 course meal. I took him to one of those very expensive restaurants that only give you a small portion of food. I think they do this because rich people don’t eat that much food; they would rather eat money. Here is a course-by-course breakdown:

The appetizer course was a gold-infused eggroll with a smattering of scrambled ostrich egg white.

The main course was a slice of ancient aged caveman complemented with a slice of jalapeno cheddar cheese aged for 100 years.

The final course was a piece of a “nut and honey medley” bar. The nuts were freshly picked from the top of Mt. Everest and the honey was harvested from Swedish bees who were tripping on hallucinogenics at the time of creation. There was also a bar of mushed up smores freshly imported from a bonfire at the White House. Rumor has it that President Obama makes 1 in 100 of these smores bars himself. I convinced Chris that he was the lucky winner.

All in all, Chris had a great time and I think he really loved the food. Even though I warned him of the high cost, Chris said he will definitely be coming back to Costco in the near future.
